Meet Jean Briningstool!  Jean joined StreetLightUSA as a volunteer and has most recently began mentoring one of our residents.  In just a few short weeks the value of this match has been apparent.

When asked why she decided to volunteer at StreetLightUSA, Jean notes, "For many years I have been aware of the serious issue of child sex trafficking and asked God what I could do about this atrocity. Then I learned about StreetLightUSA and delved in. The Lord has given me a burden for this issue and volunteering at StreetLightUSA seemed like a first step I could take to make an impact in a precious girl's life. I pursued qualification for a mentor position and finally got my ducks in a row and here I am!"

 

When asked about her mentee and their relationship, Jean says, "She is very precious to me already and I hope I get the chance to spend many hours with her and hopefully make an impact on her life. I count it a privilege to be a part of her life. Who knows where God may lead this relationship?  But I am committed all the way, wherever it leads."

We are beyond grateful for those individuals who respond to the need every girl has for a deeper personal relationship with someone who knows and cares for them and is willing to commit to guiding and influencing their future and hope.
