PRAISE NOTES

This work is challenging because "success" seems so far down the road - in healing, learning and life. Our motivation and inspiration for the day-to-day must come from little (and sometimes big) praises and then resting in the peace found only in knowing who holds real victory in the end.
Resident Praise:
Two of our teens were promoted from 8th grade last month!

Another resident has been working on getting her GED and passed the first part of the GED test.
One resident got a paid internship and is working on her GED.
Two girls recently attended Young Life Lost Canyon camp.
Another girl expressed a desire to be baptized but returned home to family before it was arranged. Success!

Material gift making a material difference
We would like to thank a "winter member" of The Place Church in Wickenberg, AZ for his gift to cover the cost of new flooring in Faith cottage as part of our expansion to accommodate live-on-campus staff.
The Place Church recently invited StreetLightUSA to visit and participate in a panel discussion on child sex trafficking and how the community can combine efforts to address immediate issues head on. Following our visit, a group from the church toured the campus to learn more. We discussed ways they could be "the hands and feet of Christ" and show love and build hope in tangible ways. Thank you Pastor Greg Hintz and Place Church for giving of time and resources to make a difference in the lives of young girls.
